Caption Theme Editor

Create custom caption themes tailored to your exact design needs.

Editor Header

The header shows the theme name and provides key actions:

Button	Action
Back	Return to theme picker
Preview	Toggle live preview pane
Save	Save changes to the theme
Delete	Remove the theme (custom only)

When editing a system theme, saving creates a new custom theme with "Custom" prefix.

General Tab

Theme Name

Give your theme a descriptive name for easy identification.

Layout

Choose the caption structure:

Layout	Description
Plain	No caption displayed
Caption Below	Text appears under the image
Caption Overlay	Text appears on top of the image

Card Style Tab

Customize the image container appearance.

Corner Radius

Round the corners of image cards using the slider (0-20px).

Border

Toggle to add a border around images:

Width - Thickness from 1-5px
Color - Choose border color

Shadow

Toggle to add depth with shadows:

Blur - Shadow softness (0-30px)
Opacity - Shadow intensity (0-100%)

Caption Tab

Control caption text appearance.

Display

When the caption appears:

Option	Behavior
Always	Permanently visible
Hover	Shows on mouse over
Hide	Not displayed

Overlay Position

For overlay layouts only:

Top - Caption at top of image
Bottom - Caption at bottom of image

Text Color

Set the caption text color using the color picker.

Background Color

Set the caption background color.

Opacity

Control caption transparency (0-100%).

Saving Themes

System Themes

When saving changes to a system theme, a new custom theme is created. The original system theme remains unchanged.

Custom Themes

Saving updates the existing theme. Changes apply everywhere the theme is used.

Deleting Themes

Only custom themes can be deleted. Sections using a deleted theme will need a new theme assigned.

Tips

Start from a system theme similar to your goal
Use the preview toggle to check changes in real-time
Test with actual content, not just placeholders
Consider readability against various image colors
