Page Tab

The Page panel is your comprehensive page management interface, combining section editing with page configuration. Access it by clicking on a page in the editor sidebar to manage everything from content sections to SEO settings.

Panel Tabs

The page panel has three tabs organized for efficient workflow:

MetaCover image, caption, tags, SEO, and social media settingsContent optimization - making pages discoverable and shareable
Browse PagesNavigate to other pages in your siteSite navigation - quickly switching between pages during editing

Page Configuration

Page Title

The page title affects multiple areas of your site:

  • Browser Tab: Appears in the browser's title bar
  • Search Results: Used as the clickable headline in Google
  • Navigation: Shows in menu items when page is added to navigation
  • Page Cards: Displays as the main heading on page preview cards

Visibility Settings

Visibility controls determine how and where your pages appear to visitors.

For Regular Pages:

Published Toggle

  • ON: Page is live and accessible to visitors via direct URL
  • OFF: Page exists only in the editor - visitors get a 404 error

Show in Navigation

  • ON: Page appears in your site's main navigation menu
  • OFF: Page is published but not linked in navigation

For Startpage (Homepage):

The startpage has special visibility behavior:

  • Always Published: Cannot be unpublished as it's your site's entry point
  • Linked from Logo: Clicking your site logo/title always returns to startpage
  • Hidden from Navigation: Doesn't appear in menu since logo serves as homepage link

Website Status (Startpage Only)

When editing your startpage, you'll see a website-wide status indicator:

  • Green Badge: Website is live and all published pages are accessible
  • Red Badge: Entire website is hidden from visitors, even published pages are inaccessible

Page Actions

Set as Startpage Transform any published page into your site's homepage. Requirements:

  • Page must be published first
  • Current startpage becomes a regular page

Delete Page Permanently remove pages from your site:

  • Startpage cannot be deleted
  • Confirmation dialog prevents accidental deletion
  • Only appears when safe to delete

Section Management

The General tab includes section management in a dedicated interface area. This system allows you to:

  • Add New Sections: Choose from available section types
  • Reorder Sections: Drag and drop to change page flow
  • Section Settings: Configure individual section properties
  • Preview Changes: See updates in real-time

Cover Image & Visual Presentation

Cover Image

The cover image serves multiple purposes:

  • Page Cards: Primary visual element in grids or lists
  • Social Media: Falls back for social sharing when no OG image is set
  • Internal Navigation: Used in visual menus and page browsers

Image Specifications:

  • Recommended Size: 1200x630px
  • Aspect Ratio: 16:9 works well for most layouts
  • File Formats: JPG, PNG, WebP supported

Caption

The caption creates engaging page descriptions for visual presentations, distinct from SEO metadata:

  • Purpose: User-facing text for page cards and visual elements
  • Length: 1-2 sentences work best
  • Tone: Can be conversational and match your brand voice

Tags

The tagging system provides organization with intelligent autocomplete:

  • Auto-complete: Suggests existing tags as you type
  • Site-wide: Tags work across your entire website
  • Filtering: Content can be filtered by tags

Social Media Preview

Controls Open Graph (OG) metadata for social media sharing.

OG Image

Technical Specifications:

  • Recommended Size: 1200x630px
  • File Size: Under 8MB
  • Formats: JPG and PNG work best

"Use Cover" Feature: One-click function to copy your cover image to the OG image field for consistency.

OG Title

The Open Graph title appears as the headline in social media previews and can differ from your page title for optimization.

OG Description

Provides context in social media previews:

  • Length: 125-155 characters for optimal display
  • Call-to-Action: End with compelling reason to click

SEO Settings

SEO Description

The meta description appears in search engine results:

  • Character Limit: 155-160 characters
  • Unique per Page: Each page should have a distinct description
  • Action-Oriented: Use verbs that encourage clicking

Page Slug

The URL slug is your page's web address identifier:

  • URL Structure: yoursite.com/your-slug-here
  • Best Practices: Lowercase only, hyphens for spaces, keep short
  • Startpage Restriction: Startpage slug cannot be changed

Browse Pages

The Browse Pages tab provides efficient page navigation during editing:

  • Visual Page List: See all pages with thumbnails and status indicators
  • Quick Access: Click any page to immediately switch context
  • Status Indicators: Published/unpublished and navigation status at a glance

Workflow Benefits:

  • Move between related pages without losing focus
  • Compare layouts and content across pages
  • Maintain awareness of overall site structure
