SLN Credits
SLN credits are your balance on Salon -- earn them by inviting fellow creatives, spend them on subscriptions, or cash them out.
What Are SLN Credits?
SLN is the internal credit system for the Salon platform. Credits let you:
- Pay for subscriptions -- apply credits at checkout to reduce or cover your payment
- Send invitations -- each invite costs a small number of credits
- Cash out -- convert your balance to real money via PayPal or bank transfer
The exchange rate is fixed and simple:

How to Earn Credits
Signup Bonus
Every new user who confirms their email receives 100 SLN (~€1.00) as a welcome bonus. This is enough to send 5 invitations right away.
Invite Rewards
When you invite someone and they publish their first site, you earn 100 SLN -- a 5x return on the 20 SLN invite cost. See the Invite Artists page for the full breakdown.
Referral Commissions
When someone you invited upgrades to a paid plan, you earn a one-time commission equal to 20% of their first subscription payment, credited instantly as SLN.

Commissions apply to the referred user's first site subscription only.
Tier Upgrade Bonuses
On top of the commission, you receive a one-time milestone bonus when your invitee upgrades:

These bonuses stack with the referral commission. For example, if your invitee upgrades to Basic Monthly, you earn 500 SLN (bonus) + 200 SLN (commission) = 700 SLN total.
How to Spend Credits
Send Invitations
Each invite costs 20 SLN from your balance. You start with 5 invite slots, and earn additional slots as your referrals succeed.
Subscription Discounts
Apply your SLN balance at checkout to reduce your payment:
- Select a plan upgrade in your site settings
- Choose how much of your balance to apply
- The remaining amount (if any) is charged to your payment method
- Example: 1,000 SLN covers one full month of Basic (€10)
You can use credits for a partial or full payment on any subscription.
Cash Out
Convert your credits to real money when you're ready.

Identity verification may be required for larger amounts. You are responsible for any tax reporting obligations on cash-out income.
Credit Expiry
Credits expire after 24 months of account inactivity (no login). You'll receive an email reminder 30 days before any expiry. Active accounts are never affected -- as long as you log in at least once every 24 months, your balance is safe.
Where to Find Your Balance
- Account dropdown -- your current SLN balance is always visible in the top navigation
- Settings → Invite -- full dashboard with balance, invite slots, transaction history, and cash-out
Important Notes
- Credits cannot be transferred between users
- Credits do not earn interest
- Credits are a limited license right, not currency or financial instruments
