After Migration

Congratulations on migrating your content! This guide provides a complete checklist for reviewing and optimizing your imported pages.

Immediate Checklist

Priority 1: Verify Content

  • [ ] Check page count - All selected pages imported?
  • [ ] Review thumbnails - Pages look correct in dashboard?
  • [ ] Open sample pages - Content displays properly?

Priority 2: Review Layouts

  • [ ] Check positioning - Elements where expected?
  • [ ] Verify spacing - Gaps and margins look right?
  • [ ] Test scrolling - Page scrolls smoothly?

Priority 3: Test Images

  • [ ] Images loading - All images display?
  • [ ] Quality check - Images sharp and clear?
  • [ ] Lightbox works - Clicking opens full-size?

Page-by-Page Review

For Each Important Page

Open each page in the editor and verify:

  1. Text content

    • All text present
    • Formatting preserved
    • Links working

  2. Images

    • Correct images displayed
    • Proper sizing
    • Good positioning

  3. Layout

    • Overall structure intact
    • Spacing looks right
    • Responsive behavior works

  4. Special elements

    • Galleries display correctly
    • Videos play (if applicable)
    • Custom elements work

Common Adjustments

Positioning Tweaks

Canvas/DND layouts may need:

Issue: Elements slightly off
Solution: Drag to correct position

Issue: Overlapping changed
Solution: Adjust z-index (right-click > Arrange)

Issue: Edge alignment off
Solution: Use alignment guides

Spacing Adjustments

Grid layouts may need:

Issue: Too much/little gap
Solution: Adjust gutter in layout settings

Issue: Columns wrong
Solution: Change column count in settings

Image Fixes

Updating Navigation

Review Site Navigation

Your navigation may need updating:

  1. Go to Settings > Navigation
  2. Check page order
  3. Remove old/unnecessary pages
  4. Add new pages if needed
  5. Save changes

Update Internal Links

Check links between pages:

  1. Open each page with internal links
  2. Click links to test
  3. Update any broken links
  4. Save and republish

Mobile Optimization

Test Mobile View

  1. Click Preview
  2. Switch to mobile view
  3. Check each page

Mobile Issues to Watch

Theme & Styling

Review Theme Settings

  1. Go to Settings > Theme
  2. Check colors match your brand
  3. Verify fonts are correct

Custom CSS

If you had custom CSS:

  1. Go to Settings > Advanced > Custom CSS
  2. Review imported CSS
  3. Test that styles apply
  4. Update for new platform if needed

Before Publishing

Final Checks

  • [ ] All pages reviewed
  • [ ] Navigation updated
  • [ ] Links tested
  • [ ] Mobile checked
  • [ ] SEO configured

Preview Your Site

  1. Click Preview in the editor
  2. Navigate through all pages
  3. Test on different devices
  4. Check for any issues

Publishing

Ready to Go Live

  1. Click Publish
  2. Review the changes summary
  3. Click Publish Now

After Publishing

  • Visit your live site
  • Test navigation and links
  • Share with a few people for feedback
  • Monitor for any issues

Redirecting Traffic

If Using Custom Domain

Your custom domain settings should transfer. Verify:

  1. Domain still points correctly
  2. SSL certificate active
  3. All pages accessible

Updating External Links

If you have links from other sites:

  1. Page URLs should match
  2. Test important external links
  3. Set up redirects if URLs changed
